Principals

Mr. Emmanouil Galounis is the managing principal and a shareholder of Vectors LLC. A seasoned participant in the financial markets, initially as a broker in Athens Stock Exchange (1991), and then as a professional trader (1996) in currencies and commodities. He established the first private independent Introducing Broker (IB) in Greece (1997), ‘GENUS Investments & Hedging’ selling the company in 2002 with 17 branch offices within Greece.

Since 2005, he focused on investment activities and the corresponding business development within the Balkan Countries. In 2010 he established Solaris Investments Ltd, investing and brokering in the energy and real estate markets.

Emmanouil was a consultant at KANTOR, a leading Greek consulting firm (1990), advising private and public companies in the fields of Business Planning, Capital Structuring. Specializing in Business Valuation for Mergers & Acquisitions and Privatizations, he evaluated a significant number of the early Greek privatizations. 

In 1993 he submitted the 3 out of the first 5 Greek investment proposals and business plans approved by the EU under the PHARE framework for business development in ex Eastern European Countries (Bulgaria, Poland, Romania). 

Developing routing techniques for maritime vessels within the framework of a national development program, the project was recognized as the second in scale and significance within the program (Greek Bank of Industrial Development, 1992).

Since 2002 he is a shareholder and managing partner in his family business, Hellenic Land Tourism and Development Company, a real estate developer in luxury leisure since 1964.

Mr. Galounis is a graduate of Management and Organizational Behavior of the Deree College (B. of Arts), and a member of Systems Dynamics Society of MIT. He holds a Series 3 by FINRA and is a member of the National Futures Association (NFA).

Mrs. Sofia Pitellou is a non-executive principal and shareholder of Vectors LLC. 

Her traditional shipping family has been active in the merchant shipping business since the late 18th century, originating from Kasos and Oinouses, two islands with strong maritime history. 

In October 1975 she received her Diploma in Shipping from The London School of Foreign Trade and worked in the City of London up to 1985 in the offices of Regal Marine UK.

Since 2004 she is involved in the Hellenic Land Tourism & Development Company.

Her strong belief in the development of derivatives in the Shipping industry, led to the deployment of the proprietary algorithms of Vectors, forming Vectors’ specialty products in the Maritime Sector. She registered with the National Futures Association (NFA).
